Abstract
This study aims to determine and describe the effectiveness of the use of scientific approach in improving the learner skills of writing fable. The subjects of this study were 28 students of class VII. Data collection conducted in this study using the test. The test results showed that the average score obtained by learners increased by 13.46 from the average pretest value of 66.71 to 80.17 on the mean postes value. The paired t-test results show the Sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 <α (0.05), so it can be concluded that the use of a scientific approach has a positive impact in improving the learners skills of writing fable. From the results of this study can be concluded that the use of scientific approach can improve the learner skills of writing fable.
