Abstract

The subject population in this study were first semester students and students of nature lovers UNSRI (Mafesripala) which amounted to 121 people; From this population a random sample taken (unproporsioned random sampling) of 30 respondents who give the practice entirely in balance, and form 30 respondents individed into 3 groups: the group was given training pull-ups (10 respondents), group climbing rope training (10 respondents). This study aims to analyze the influence of arm muscle strength training with balance in the sport of rock climbing, can then be used builder, and trainer in sport rock climbing club in general and in particular the understanding of arm strength and balance ability in the sport of rock climbing. Descriptive result showed the average value Rope Climb lower than the average value of control, and the average value of Pull Ups equal to the average assumption of homogeneity of diversity are met with significant value for 0156 (> alpha 0.05). The conclusions of this study is the increase in achievement patterns of rock climbing is necessary coaching and training that is multi dimentional and proportionate and sustainable.
