Abstract
This study aims to predicted financial distress at the provincial government in Indonesia. Where, in the public sector is defined as the inability of the government to provide public services at a decent level. There are two factors to predict the occurrence of financial distress, namely financial factors consist of financial independence, the degree desentalisasi, solvency, financial performance, financial position, efficiency, whereas non-financial factor consists of the complexities of government and regional expansion. This study used 12 samples of the provincial government in Indonesia coming from the interior ministry and BPS. Purposive sampling method and using logistic regression analysis. The results showed that only the degree of decentralization that is positively and significantly to the prediction of financial distress in the provincial government in Indonesia.
