Abstract

This study was conducted to see the Intensity of watching romantic film with premarriage sexual behavior in boarder female university student at Palembang. Independent variable in this study is the intensity of watching romantic film and the premarriage sexual behavior was used as dependent variable. Hypothesis of this study is that there is a correlation between intensity of watching romantic film with premarriage sexual behavior in boarder female university student at Palembang. The sample subject in this study were 31 female university student with purpossive sampling as a sampling technique. Methods of data collection in this study using the intensity scale of watching romantic film consisting of 43 item valid (α=0.890) and premarriage sexual behavior scale consisting of 41 item valid (α=0.907). The result of data analysis using simple regression technique was showing a significant correlation with coefficient r= 0.476 an the significant value p=0.007. it mean that there is a very significant correlation between intensity of watching romantic film with premarriage sexual behavior in boarder female university student where the high intensity of watching romantic film will make high number of premarriage sexual behavior. With the value of r2=0.226, it mean that effective contribution from the intensity of watching romantic film to premarriage sexual behavior is reaching 22,6%.
