Abstract

The objectives of this study is to analyze and identify the similarities and the differences between English and indonesian imperative and exclamatory sentence. The objects of this study were the imperative and exclamatory sentence both in English and Indonesian which are included the form, the use and the speakers. The writers applied descriptive method in analyzing the data. The findings showed that (1) there are three syntactic similarities and one difference between English and Indonesian imperative sentences, (2)there are four syntactic similarities and one difference between English and Indonesian exclamatory sentence.
