Abstract
The development of science and technology has been able to support various needs and requests for information from users, making information has become a major requirement in a company. AK Gani Hospital in Palembang is a hospital which is organized by The Indonesian Army to organize health services. In this hospital,doctors prescribe the prescription by handwriting and if there is unclear handwritten prescription,it will lead to errors during compounding or preparation of drugs in the use of prescribed drugs.Therefore the purpose of this research is to produce the development of an E- Prescribing information system or online prescription based on the Rational Unified Process Method. The function of this system is as digital prescriptions, drugs and diseases recording in outpatient care installation. By using e-prescribing systems can facilitate the doctors in prescribing online. The workflow of this system involves three entities: Doctors, Pharmacists, and Administrators. In E- prescribing, there are several steps involved: Authentication, identification of patients, looking at patient data, drug selection, filling in parameters, looking at pharmacy and printing documents. By using e-prescribing, renewal authorization can be an automatically working process that increases the ef iciency of prescribers (doctors) and pharmacists
