Abstract
Learning Indonesian in primary schools aimed at improving students ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Reading skills as one of the written language skills that are receptive to elementary school students have to be able to communicate in writing. Therefore, the role of Indonesian language teaching, especially teaching reading in primary schools is very important. Reading is the beginning stages of learning to read for elementary school students beginning classes. Teachers need to design learning to read well in order to be able to cultivate the habit of reading in students. The atmosphere of learning to read can be created through language games. Hopefully with this language game will have an important role in cognitive and social development of children, because teachers play in supporting children learn and develop.
