Abstract

This study discusses the measurement of quantity and quality of ideas given by electronic brainstorming participants based on their basic ability dan some techniques of brainstorming. Three techniques were used in this study. They were negative, classical and problem reversal brainstorming techniques. In this study, the participants’ task perfomance, group well being, member support and technology acceptance model were also scored during the electronic brainstorming activity. A total number of respondent in this study was 65 and they represented the last semester students, the on job students and the first semester students. The result of the study shows that techniques of brainstorming which contribute most ideas aare classical brainstorming techniques. However, the highest percentage of first-rate ideas which have been successfully collected from of electronic brainstorming participants are negative brainstorming techniques. The background knowledge of Conversely, the background knowledge of the participants des not influence the quality of idea.
