Abstract
Abstract - The behavior of learners lately identifies phenomenal, due to the impact of economic and parental supervision of their children's education in general less attention. Socially and environmental influences cause students freely consume cigarettes freely. Impact on smokers and non-smoking environment, in the environment around schools and school buses / public transportation. Factors related to the achievement of learning the causes of the decline include the achievement of ever smoking, parental income is problem definition in research on high school students in Palembang. Obtained p = 0.813 in parental income is below the standard which resulted in no significance. Obtained p = 0.000 on the duration of smoking, there is a significant difference where the longer the learning achievement of smoking decline. For a solution, the city government helped to fund education so that parents do not become a burden or encumber his life making a living that can interfere with their learning concentration. While the school authorities periodically disseminate the effects of smoking on health and learning achievement, as well as reinforce the nosmoking rules for students in the school environment. Reinforce government legislation banning smoking in public places.
