Abstract

: To support good governance, besides the principles of transparency and participation, accountability is also essential that includes what should be applied to all public entities which manage and be responsible to government financial allocation. Implementation of government financial accountability can be realized through a public audit, which is a process of collective evaluation by the public stakeholders on all aspects of activities and programs organized by the organization or group. Assessments conducted of the social aspects related to the economics of a program such as public service activity, assessment of resource allocation, the analysis of public expenditure and its relation to the program, as well as decision-making process or public policy. The purpose of public audit as a channel of government accountability is an integral part of institutional framework to support good governance
