Abstract

- Dense of road traffic increases violations of road traffic rules and dissobedience of road signs. The limited number of traffic regulators requires a renewable traffic management system following the concept of smart city. One of the concept to renewable the traffic management system is to apply a public voice announce or warning system at a particular point of interest at the road. Warning or announce in the form of sound is a information delivery that is difficult to ignore. In order to meet these needs, it is necessary to apply the real-time audio streaming system through LAN (local area network) connection. The system works with traffic regulators capable of providing voice warnings at each point of the channel location in an initial effort to manage the dense of road traffic. In achieving cost efficiency, the system uses a SBC (single board computer) with orange pi zero as a audio channel device. The quality of audio streaming in the network using QoS (quallity of service) test with delay category resulting in excellence that the value below 150ms, packet loss category is also excellence with the value no more than 1% and the size of throughput about 5 MB per second. The resullt of QoS test indicate the whole system meet the ITU-T standards.
