Abstract
Dari segi isi, koran jaman dulu lebih banyak berkaitan dengan dunia bisnis para banker serta pedagang dari Eropa seperti Koran Notize Scritte yang terbit tahun 1600 di Venesia, Italia. Koran lembaran ini biasanya banyak dipasang di tempat umum. Namun untuk membacanya warga harus membayar 1 gazzeta. Dari sanalah konon muncul istilah gazette yang dalam perkembangannya diartikan sebagai koran.
