Abstract

Reforms in Indonesia resulted in a policy of regional autonomy which brought important changes in the management of regional finances, it also changed the pattern of supervision carried out by the council related to giving full freedom to local governments in the management of regional finances. The phenomenon seen is that the public demanded that the investigators be proactive in carrying out regional financial supervision so that they could implement it well. The purpose of this study was’ to determine whether public accountability, public participation and transparency of public policy’ affect the regional financial supervision (APBD) by the Palembang City DPRD. The object of this research is the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of Palembang City. The hypothesis testing method in this study uses multiple regression analysis. The results of the first hypothesis showed the value of sig <α (0.032 <0.05), which means that public accountability significantly affected regional financial supervision, while’ public participation and transparency of public policy’ did not significantly ‘influence regional financial supervision.
