Abstract

The rapid development of information technology and good technology services is the hope for all people, organizations, institutions and universities to be able to support activities, facilitate their activities and business processes. One of them is electronic and distance-based learning technology at Bina Darma University, Palembang. In addition to supporting academic and business processes at universities, e-learning is also identified in its use as there are still many problems that occur in systems, data and infrastructure, so that the use of e-learning technology services must also be supported by management of information technology services so that business processes run according to expected. In this study, we will discuss how to analyze the elearning technology services at Bina Darma University with reference to the framework in the domain service operation based on the ITIL V3 framework. The ITIL V3 framework is widely used in various organizations, institutions and institutions to create a standard for providing maximum information technology services to its users. Based on the natural conditions of the research object, a qualitative approach with a descriptive type was chosen to be used in the study. The findings will be analyzed and recommendations for management best practice or service management will be issued that refer to the framework so that they can be implemented at universities.
