Abstract
The important roles of literary works in the field of English language teaching (ELT) have been confirmed through many studies conducted by the scholars all over the world. Through the theme Integrating Literature into English Language Teaching, the 4th National Conference conducted by the Southern Region of Sumatera TEFLIN in collaboration with the English Education Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Graduate School of Sriwijaya University, was also an attempt to give a contribution to the teaching of English as a foreign language (EFL) by exploring the important roles of literature. a This fourth book of SRS-TEFLIN National Conference is a valuable resource which provides teachers of English who are interested in knowing more about how to integrate the literary works into their EFL teaching and learning process. We are grateful to the contributors who participated by submitting their papers. Their willingness to do so has made it possible to publish this book.
