Abstract

. Deconstruction is a theory that was stated by Jacques Derrida, he is a French philosopher. Derrida as a pioneer philosopher in the era of Post-modernism has three philosophies’ thought to reject the idea in the era of Post-structuralism. Derrida thinks in this era, structuralism is a theory that assumes the language is a signifier and signified by Saussure. Derrida always viewed signified and signifier a separate and reunite with new combinations, the signified can continue to turn out to be a signifier or otherwise. In other words, the marker points to what does not exist, in a certain sense also has no meaning. Meaning is never identical with itself because in a different context, the mark will never have the same absolute meaning. In era post-structuralism explain if the text has center. It explains if the presence of truth is absolute, single and universal. Characteristic of deconstruction theory to refusal logo-centrism and phono-centrism that overall spawned binary opposition and ways of thinking more hierarchical dichotomous. Deconstruction is used to dismantle the text and reverse the text became opposite and find new meaning of the text. This study explains about deconstruction theory by Jacques Derrida and the way to apply it in Cinderella Story by Charles Perrault.
