Abstract
This research is to know the effect of career development and job motivation to the employee job satisfaction of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Trans Musi Palembang. The population in this research is the employee of Bus Rapid Transit Trans Musi namely the driver and bus conductor who is amount to 395 persons. The taking of samples use proportionate stratified random sampling technics with the Slovin formulation, that the number of the sample taken as many as 80 persons consist of 39 drivers and 41 bus conductors. Based on the results of the analysis multiple linier regression Y = 1,036 + 0,509X1 + 0,234X2 show that if the career development and job motivation values nil that job satisfaction values 1,036 and if any the increase of career development and job motivation variables that it will increase job satisfaction as much as 0,509 and 0,234. Of the corelation coefficient analysis as much as 0,647 or 64,7% career development and job motivation variables strongly influence to the job satisfaction, while determination coefficient as much as 0,419 or 41,9% career development and job motivation variables influences strong enough to the job satisfaction. The result of hypothesis test shows that career development and job motivation influence to the job satisfaction as either simultaneous or partial. Management Bus Rapid Transit ( BRT ) Trans Musi is expected to contribute to the optimal career development and job motivation in order to improve employee job satisfaction.
