Abstract

: This study describes the relationship between emotion regulation with bullying tendencies. Initial allegations raised in this study is there is a negative relationship between emotion regulation with bullying tendencies. The higher emotion regulation, the lower the tendency of bullying behavior. Conversely, the lower the regulation of emotion, the higher the tendency of bullying behavior. This is subject penelitiaan 4 Yogyakarta State high school students. Subjects numbered 103 people. The scale used in this study is the tendency of bullying behavior scale made by the researcher based on the aspects described by Riaukina, Djuwita, and Soesetio (2005) and emotion regulation scale adopted by the researchers based on the aspects described by Thompson (Kostiuk & Gregory, 2002). Methods of data analysis performed in this study using SPSS version 15.0 facility to test whether there is a relationship between emotion regulation with bullying tendencies. Product Moment Correlation Spearman correlation of r = 0.17 and p = 0.433 significance level (p> 0.05), which means there is no significant relationship between emotion regulation with bullying tendencies. So this research hypothesis is rejected.
