Abstract

SME’s Glory Pempek is a small and medium enterprise which is engaged in manufacturing and selling pempek with various pempek variants. It is known that the production of pempek in SME’s Glory Pempek during the Covid-19 pandemic has decreased the level of sales so that the workload of workers at each station needs to be balanced and optimized according to the number of products sold so that SME’s Glory Pempek can survive. Based on these problems conducted research that aims to find out how the workload of workers and determine the optimal amount of workers needs. This study uses a synergistic approach both of Ergo-Workload and Full Time Equivalent method, a method of physical workload analysis that measures the length of working completion time in an ergonomics workstation. Based on the resulths of research using the Ergo-Workload and Full Time Equivalent method, it is known that there is an imbalancing of workloads in a workstation that is an ergonomics than 9 workers with 5 workstations, all of which have underloadded/normal workloads and it is still possible to reduce the number of workers by harmonizing the workers with the level of pempek sales during the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. Therefore some improvements were made to the Ergo-Workload based workstation by combining several jobs. The result is an optimal number of workers of 5 workers and the value of the balance increases from the previous 11.11% to 43.08%.
