Abstract

Computer networking is the group of many computer which links each others by using switch, router and etc, so computers can communicate and transfer data each other and also share hardware using. On academic field so many schools have been use online system, such as on final examination and national examination which use computer networking, so they need good computer networking fast accescibility and safe from hackers, crackers and viruses. SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan have not good structured computer yet, such as in topology design and IP address management and networking security. By the reasons have given above, it needs computer network design that have best performance so that can give the optimal working in order to fill the needs by using top down network design methods which designing from the top layer down to the basic layer at OSI (Open System Interconnection) layer, by using this method we can gain computer network architecture which can support all activities of teachers, students and administration staffs at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan.
