Abstract
The city of Palembang is the capital of the province of South Sumatra, Indonesia. The city of Palembang, which is the center of the economy and the center of the administration of South Sumatra, has an important contribution in land transportation and population activities. With the increase in population and the increase in economic activity in Palembang, it causes an increase in traffic flow and performance problems in the roads. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained by retrieving traffic data on Monday 19 November 2018 to Sunday 25 November 2018 from 06.00 - 18.00 WIB and direct measurement of road conditions as well as the distance of Roads in the study is 4.58 km. Secondary data in the form of Palembang population data in 2017. Analysis of the data in this study is based on the 2014 PKJI. Based on the research that has been carried out the following conclusions are obtained the value of vehicle volume at 17.00-18.00 WIB, the amount of vehicle volume value in the Hour it reaches 2194 per hour. The value of degree of saturation (DS) in segment I is 0.234 while for segment II is 0.925 which is obtained based on observations on Jalan Governor H. Ahmad Bastari.
