Abstract
Internet network serves to facilitate people to give and get information quickly and cheaply. Exchange of data and information is necessary to maintain confidentiality in the public network when exchanging data then one solution is to use Virtual Private Network. Virtual Private Network is also used to connect between local networks that are geographically far apart by utilizing public internet network and create a network tunnel to be private. Virtual Private Network also offers savings in terms of operational costs compared to other private methods such as leased lines, frame relays or dial up connections. Virtual Private Network has network protocols such as Point to Point Tunneling Protocol, Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol, Open Virtual Private Network. The three procoles provide different levels of security and performance on a network which will then be analyzed in order to become an alternative choice in providing access services within the Bina Husada STIK network.
