: PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. is one of the largest coal exporter in the world. as a coal exporter companies, PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. not only acts as an energy power station in the country, but also as as a company that count in the field of international trade. The Indonesia government also strongly support the presence of PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. is regulated by holding that aims to increase the volume and quantity of goods in order to increase competitiveness in the international market. Dealing with such matter and relation to international trade in which each party was in a different state, would have a greater risk than domestic trade. This is a concern by Letter of Credit Payment as guarantee of payment from buyer’s tool is the method by PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. in order to reduce loses on sale of coal export. Some factors that may present a risk to fulfillment of payment obligation by importers including political, economic, and finance condition of parties concerned.
