Abstract

The current system of selling in Chandra Komputer Shop is in the sales system still rely on media interaction with consumers directly and still centered to a certain location and not yet able to reach various regions because it has not had a media campaign that can cover a wide market. On the other hand, sometimes there is no recommendation system of goods from employees of the company to prospective buyers, this resulted in the loss of opportunities to gain profits because consumers may buy at other stores. To overcome these problems, then in this research will be built a system of service called online sales-based information system by applying up-selling techniques which is a sales technique that encourages customers to buy items that are more expensive, upgrades, or add-ons in an effort to make sales more profitable. How to work Up Selling, which is 1) when the system recommends the system goods to take data of goods that the selling price is higher, 2) display the list of goods on the system from the cheapest price to the most expensive and 3) the system also displays goods sold or sold today. If up selling is implemented in a company then it can increase company revenue and reduce cost to get customer (reduce cost).
