Abstract
Learning activities are very necessary attention to the physical environment such as lighting Printing Erwin and Printing Total a manufacturing industry that is engaged in printing. The type of products manufactured, among others, textbooks, modules, journals, brochures, calendars, invitations, etc. The problems that occurred in the printing industry that there is a defective product that causes the number of production decreases and there are consumer complaints on the dissatisfaction of the printout is acceptable. Therefore, it is indispensable completion of these problems by using the Six Sigma method approach consisting of five phases, between Define, Measure, Analyse, Improvement, and Control. Based on six sigma methods can be concluded that the performance capabilities of the printing industry has an average Erwin sigma level of 3.34 and possible damage by 35000 in one million production, while the total printing has -rata average sigma 3.15 with the possibility of damages amounting to 55000 in one million production, and the number of product defects both printing is still in control limit. This shows both the performance capability of printing good enough to compete with similar competitors. While the dominant factor causes of defective products is a factor of human and machine.
