Abstract

Palembang* UBD Library has a total of 9,027 books. Data on book lending in UBD Palembang for the past two years, namely 2017 and 2018, recorded as many as 3,126 borrowers, so that it affects the arrangement of book lending patterns and book layouts that have not been recommended properly so that visitors have difficulty finding books that are often borrowed. To overcome this problem, the authors will look for patterns of borrowing books that are often borrowed simultaneously by using the association rule method. The author also performs a comparative analysis of the two algorithms used, namely the Apriori algorithm and the ECLAT algorithm. The author has also set a minimum support value of 0.008 and a minimum confidence 1.0. From the 2017-2018 book lending data using the Apriori algorithm and the 2017-2018 book loan data using the ECLAT algorithm produced the same rules, namely 2017 formed 4 rules and 2018 formed 1 rule but from the formation of rules from the two algorithms it can be seen that the ECLAT algorithm is more superior to the Apriori algorithm seen from the support value of the two algorithms.
