Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how big the influence of age and traditional games (jump rope and crank) on the development of motor rough tunagrahita children. This type of research is quasi experimental design using factorial research design 2x2, the meaning that there are two factors studied is a form of exercise method that consists of age and traditional games. The sample of this research is the children of Tunagrahita SLB Karya Ibu and SLB Pembina Palembang age above 10 years (> 10 years) and under 10 years old (<10 years). Technique of data analysis in this research is two path Anava used at alpha significance level = 0,05. The results showed that the traditional game of the crank was better (effective) to spur the increase in motor rough tunagrahita children when compared with the game jump rope. And by age standards it is known that children aged> 10 years of motor responses are better when compared with children <10 years old. Keywords: tunagrahita, traditional game, age, gross motor
