Abstract
Network architecture planning is one of the proposals made in the development of computer networks Prabumulih district general hospitals, which currently have to apply information technology in supporting service facilities and infrastructure hospital. The design and good network management is needed in the development of network infrastructure so that network performance is more efficient in its consumer. Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) is one model of network management at OSI Layer 2 (two). Model design flexible network that enables vlan vlan id to move location without having to reengineer the network device. In this study, there are several steps that must be done to create a VLAN network architecture design, including analyzing tissue by measuring reliability, maintenance, and avalibility. Followed by the selection of topologies, such as the use of technology and media transmission manageable switches that are used in each hospital building, then the design of network mapping equipment that has been proposed. This research will produce a document and can be used as a blueprint for the hospital if you want to develop it further in the future
