Abstract

This research purpose is to know among of the correlation among of the social support with the loneliness to the retirement civil servant in the head of subdistrict office at Kecamatan Ilir Timur II Palembang. Hypothesis that is proposed there is very significant the correlation among of the social support with the loneliness to the retirement civil servant in the head of subdistrict office at Kecamatan Ilir Timur II Palembang. The number of population in this research the social support with the loneliness to the retirement civil servant in the head of subdistrict office at Kecamatan Ilir Timur II Palembang are 45 subject by limitation subject research then of sample that used statisfied or total sample. For the instruments the author used the loneliness scale and the social support scale. Data analysis used simple regression analysis. The statitical calculation was done by using the program computer SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) version 15.0 for windows. Based to the research resulth, known that the number of efective resulth that given from the loneliness variable to the social support is 68% (R²=0.679). This means that there is 32% another variable which can influence the loneliness but didn’t examined by author.
