Abstract

In today's globalization, the advancements of technology have been greatly improving, shown by the societies’ high interest in getting information through the availability of an adequate system. This led to e�government or electronic-based governance increasingly playing an important role in providing information to all levels of society in Indonesia. Many researches have emphasized the development of e�government models that focus on typology. This study aimed to investigate the factors of e-government based on transparency and trust in the provision of information and the use of services to people. In addition, this study developed the concept of a transparent and reliable e-government model owned by the government of Palembang. The methodology used in this quantitative research was by conducting a survey in four sub-districts of Palembang, which have the greatest ratio in pre-prosperous society. The result of this research was a transparent and reliable e-government concept that could be utilized by the government of Palembang to reach a public service especially for the low class society.
