Abstract

: Crime reporter is one part of a journalist as well and have the same duties as other journalists, the only difference is that the crime reporter because of his duty to seek and develop news especially criminal news to be published in mass media. This study aimed to find out about the knowledge and understanding of crime reporter about journalistic ethics in article 1. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which knowledge and understanding of each crime reporter about the code of ethics jurnalistk. And also whether a crime reporter to understand the contents of Article 1 in the journalistic code of ethics and apply them in daily duties.The research method is a qualitative descriptive method ethics is the key condition before plunging spaciousness to find and make news, especially news of crime.
